Refreshed

Well, here I am once again and happy to be here.  I've just returned on Saturday from 2 great weeks in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.  I was able to go with 9 other very special people, all friends from church.  My church family.

The first week the 10 of us enjoyed one another's company and thoroughly basked in the wonder of the Lord's creation.  We couldn't have picked a better time to go since the leaves were at their peak and the weather was equally beautiful.  What a wonderful thing to have so many Christian friends who are on the same journey through life.  The common denominator that holds us all together is "JESUS".

The next week most everyone went back to Louisiana and three of us ladies stayed. We went a little slower and spent time riding around looking at the "beautiful leaves" and the gorgeous "Blue Ridge Parkway". We ate together, sat on the porch and talked, and just rested.  It was so good. So good.

Now that I'm home and have the laundry pretty much caught up (mostly mine, husband took care of his while I was gone) I can put my focus on Thanksgiving and the bountyful holiday that is quickly approaching. I love this time of year, yet I'm sort of perplexed that the rest of the world doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving.  I remember when I first realized this I was dismayed.  Just another reminder of what our country is founded on. The love of God....Oh, the love of God...how I love Him and can't wait to see Him face to face.

I hope that you too are enjoying this time of year and are looking forward to the days ahead.

Thanks for you visit :)

For my hope is built in Him. He is my All
