Husband and I have been packing our things for a well needed vacation. We are leaving on Tuesday with friends in our Sunday School class for the Smoky Mountains, We have rented a large van so that all of us can travel in the same vehicle. It's just plain more fun that way. We'll stay several days and then a few of us ladies will stay an extra week which I'm looking forward to already. I just love nature and the mountains and will be able to be refreshed and spend time with old and new friends. God is so good isn't he? All the time. Even when it doesn't seem like it. Today I'll spend the morning with my granddaughters and then head to a family's house for lunch and preparations for our Gospel Singing tomorrow night and run a few errands to finish up the things I need to do before leaving on Tuesday.
As I sit here I smell the "old" coffee on my table that should have already been poured into the sink, but I have to admit it smells good still. I'm about to go fix myself another fresh cup. ooh, I can taste it already. Just like I like, sugar and french vanilla creamer.
I finally finished the poodle skirt, petticoat and tutu I was making and will mail the last of it today to my daughter. I really love to sew. I really, really do. I've loved to sew since I was a freshman in high school when I took my first home ec course. I've just gotten distracted quite a bit over the years. I'm gradually trying to do more these days, but with everything else I want to do I just have to hit it now and then. I tried to post pictures of the skirt here but somehow I only managed to get the clothes on the line. This is my first post since the changes on the site as you can see.
Got my mind on cooler weather and mountains and how much I love my family. If I can figure out how to put up more pictures at a time I'll do that too (giggle).
Thanks for the sweet visit. Do come again :)
Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright for the end of that man is peace.
