Busy Day with the Wee Ones

We're off and running this morning and I'm typing fast as the wee ones sit next to me and have their breakfast. They are always with me when they are here and I like it that way. I never have to worry about what they are up to.

I'm am very busy these days with many projects to attend to and I wouldn't have it any other way. I do like to have some free time to be honest to just relax and think. I believe every young mother would certainly agree with me on that.

The ground is still rather wet today so I guess if we go out to play it will be a little later when the sun pops out good.

Yesterday I got the floors mopped and did laundry. Still by bedtime I had a load of towels left in the dryer partly dry waiting to spin again and I just left it there till today. I don't worry myself over all that like I used to. Still, I have to admit sometimes I do. It's just the homemaker in me.

Last night I cut out the pieces of the poodle skirt I'm making for my daughter. I'll try to post a few pics of that as it is in progress. I've a tutu to complete for her also. She and some of her friends are running a 5K race Oct. 31 and plan to wear tutus over their running attire. I guess that will define them as a team. A "creative" bunch they are!

I enjoy the creative process of making something. I wish sometimes that I had lots and lots of time to sew. I love to do things crafty and learn something new all the time. If you would look at my house she wouldn't think it. I still have so many of the same things I started with 35 years ago when newly married. I don't get rid of things just because they are old, yet I do love to make things and enjoy seeing color. For that reason I like to make quilts. I just finished one for myself. One of the very few I have kept for myself. It is a comforting thing to rest under a quilt you have made with your own hands.

Need to leave for a bit. The wee ones call.

Have a great day :)
